 About Rego Park

In the early 20th century, Rego Park consisted of farmland. In the mid-1920s, Rego Park real estate was established; Real Good Construction built more than 500 homes in the area.

Homes for sale in Rego Park have access to many Jewish establishments, including synagogues and kosher restaurants. This makes the neighborhood a first choice move for many families. There are also a number of businesses owned by immigrants from Europe and Asia located within the neighborhood.

Many of the homes for sale in Rego Park are single-family homes, unattached from other houses. Many of these homes are available in Tudor and colonial styles. In addition, you will find that there are many apartments and multi-family dwellings in the neighborhood.

Rego Park real estate has convenient access to the rest of New York City. The subway stop on 63rd Drive offers easy access to Manhattan. Express buses also run from this part of Queens to Manhattan on a regular basis.

The education system in Rego Park is excellent for families. Five public elementary schools are located in Rego Park and children are then directed to one of two Forest Hills middle schools. Many of these students go on to attend Forest Hills High School, though an application process may allow students to attend other high schools.

As you can see, there are many reasons why a family might settle on Rego Park after looking at various other options around town. It is a wonderful neighborhood in which to purchase a home.
